Rome Floyd Communities in Schools in association with Georgia Highlands College presents the 2nd Annual Run for Success 5k Saturday, November 18, 2006 starting at 9 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the Rome Floyd Communities in Schools Mentor Program. Registration, start/finish line, and parking will be located at Georgia Highlands College formerly Floyd College, 3175 Cedartown Highway. The scenic course is relatively flat, winding around the lake at Georgia Highlands College and is comprised of crush/run, grass, pine straw, and approximately one half mile concrete. All participants who pre-register by Tuesday, November 14 will receive a free long sleeve t-shirt. Entry fees before November 14 are $15 and $10 for student runners. Awards are presented to 1st overall male and female masters (40 and above) and grandmasters (50 and above) and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female in all age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. This year’s run is presented by Rome Floyd County Communities in Schools, Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, and Georgia Highlands College.
