Carol Lampley Signs With Nationally Ranked Berry Women's Basketball Program

Carol Lampley a six-foot, senior forward out of Columbia Central High School has signed a scholarship offer to join the nationally-ranked Berry women's basketball program, coach Jonathan Norton has announced.

 

"We're very excited about signing Carol," said Norton. "She is a strong player and will be a big contributor to our future success on the court."

 

Lampley will be a freshmen 2007-2008 season. In 2005-2006 she helped lead her high school team to a 24-7 record. During that time she averaged eight points-per game to go with nine rebounds-per game. She also threw in a 3.5 steal effort per game.

 

Lampley joins Holly Compton, Erica Crumley and Kendall Davis in the 2007-08 recruiting class. Compton is a point guard from Macon High School in Lafayette, Tennessee, Crumley is a 5-6 guard from White County High School in Cleveland, Georgia, and Davis is 5-10 post player currently playing at Model High School in Rome.
