Rome, GA. The just announced ABA Rome Knights professional basketball team that will begin play in November 2007 today announced that Medieval Times will join in their quest to bring honor and tradition to the court. Medieval Times first launched their unique idea with a dinner attraction on the Spanish island of Jajorca in 1973. The choice of locations was fortuitous. The region is proud of its rich medieval heritage and passionate about The magnificent Spanish Andalusian Horses. Medieval Times proved to be the place for entertainment based on the true medieval tradition of royal families inviting guests to a festive and feast to watch knights compete on horseback.
The attraction's authentic display of equestrian skills and medieval pageantry coupled with a sumptuous feast quickly became a hit. Four years later, Medieval Times opened in Benidorm, Spain. As popularity grew, the Spanish invasion hit the United States. Now, with locations in Florida, California, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia and Toronto, they have entertained more than 35 million guests.
The Rome Knights are honored to welcome Medieval Times to our family. We look forward to building on these Traditions as we invite the world to Rome GA to watch the Knights compete on the court of battle in November 2007.
