Greater Rome Times

The 5^th Annual Hot Stove Gathering will be held at State Mutual Stadium Tuesday, February 6^th from 5:3O until 7:30 p.m.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Georgia.  Fans can look forward to a night of fun as former Rome Brave and popular Atlanta Braves pitcher Kyle Davies will be on hand along with new Atlanta Braves third base coach Brian Snitker.  The 2007 Rome Field Staff of Randy Ingle, Bobby Moore, Trainer Greg Hall, and new pitching coach Doug Henry will also be in attendance.

Other guest include members of the Atlanta Braves Player Development staff including Kurt Kemp, Matt Price, Former Braves pitching coach and current Atlanta Braves roving pitching coordinator Kent Willis, Jim Beauchamp and Paul Snyder.  Snyder, a member of the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame was recently named the King of Baseball and honored by baseball America in 2001 with the Excellence in Scouting Award.  Former Georgia Southern and 2006 Rome Braves Pitcher Dustin Evans will also be on hand.

Heavy Hor D’ Oeuvres with food stations will be available and drinks will be located throughout the stadium and Three Rivers Club.  Also, an autograph session and a question and answer session will take place.  Door prizes will be given out throughout the evening.  Once again, the Rome Braves will hold a silent auction from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.  Items have been donated from major and minor league teams across the country.
