The countdown to the 2007 Georgia Games Championships has begun! The amateur Championship Games provides athletes with more than 40 sporting events and will be held July 7-22 at venues throughout the state of Georgia.
The Georgia Games are modeled in the spirit of the Olympics, and provide Georgia’s amateur athletes of all ages and skill level the opportunity to compete in an exemplary championship-sporting event.
Any resident from the state of Georgia can compete in the events, and there are no restrictions on the number of events a participant can enter, so come out and play!
In past years, 139 of Georgia’s 159 counties have been represented in Georgia State Games programs. All of Georgia’s residents are eligible to register and compete in this open invitation, grassroots-style, state sports festival.
