Sophomore transfer Brina Becknell was the team’s leader this season with 16 goals to lead a Vikings offense that scored 64 goals over 17 games (3.76 goals per game), while allowing just 20 goals. Hackett finished second on the team with 26 points from seven goals and 12 assists. Becknell was the leader with 37 points from 16 goals and five assists. Brittany Kinch also added 21 points from nine goals and three assists.
Defensively, the Vikings will be lead by either second team All-Conference goalkeeper Vanessa Zimmerman or Paige Banham who allowed just three goals over nine games (513 minutes), including five starts this season. The Viking defense led by Courtney Bond and Sarah Capati will have to show the form that limited the Lady Senators to just eight shots on goal over the course of two games this season.
The winner of tonight’s match will play the winner of the match between top-seeded Lee and No. 4 seed Mobile in the Championship match. The winner will advance to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
