Ladies and gentlemen, as we hopefully draw toward the conclusion of this primary season, I would like to take a few minutes to express my gratitude and appreciation to all those volunteers who have worked so hard on this campaign.
A very special thank you to Becky, my wife of 44 years, who has stood by my side these past four years so I would always have a friendly face in the commission meeting room. A very special thank you to my daughters Kim and Amy, their husbands Steve and Scott, and my grandchildren Kristin and Christopher who have been working like demons the past weeks in an effort to make this a successful campaign. Words cannot express my love and appreciation for all my family has contributed.
A thank you to all those volunteers who have been working behind the scenes: To the sign patrol who tour the county replacing the signs that have gone missing. To the young men and women who endured the heat to participate in the July 4th parade. To the countless citizens who showed up in their Laughinghouse shirts to stand, in the heat of the day, by the side of the road and wave a sign at one of our patented ‘Road Rallies.’ And finally to the volunteers who will be arising early on election morning to place signs at the precincts then brave the heat and traffic to wave at the voters as they arrive at the polls.
Truly, this campaign has been a combined effort of concerned citizens of Forsyth County who want to make this a better place to live.
To all THANK YOU.
