Surface and subsurface movement on Ronald Reagan Boulevard in the area of the Lafarge Quarry appears to be somewhat stabilized. Latest reports indicate movement of one to two inches per day, as compared to the three to four inches of movement per day occurring previously.
While this information is positive, Forsyth County officials and Lafarge officials are continuing to work around-the-clock to monitor the situation and expect to do so for at least the next four to six weeks.
