The Forsyth County 911 Center has a new contact phone number for citizens to utilize in non-emergency situations: (770) 781-3087. This non-emergency number should be used in non-life-threatening situations when residents still require the assistance of public safety personnel. As always, dial 911 in case of emergency.
Citizens should note the following non-emergency contact numbers and keep them on hand.
Non-Emergency Contact Numbers for Forsyth County:
911 Center (770) 781-3087
Fire Department (770) 781-2180
Sheriff’s Office (770) 781-2222
The Forsyth County 911 Center became a stand-alone department in October, when a restructuring shifted the center from beneath the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s Office.
"Our service to the community will not be changed as a result of this restructuring," said 911 Center Director Pat Giordano. "We have a dedicated staff, committed to providing excellent service to the people of Forsyth County. When someone dials 911, they will continue to get assistance from the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and medical personnel."
The 911 Center dispatches to and serves the Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office and Rural/Metro ambulances, the county’s contracted provider of emergency medical transport services.
