Forsyth County Fire Department officials announced today that the cause and origin of the recent fire in the Bethelview Downs subdivision in Forsyth County may not be confirmed and released until May. Officials had previously hoped to release that information this week.

"The investigation process is being done as thoroughly as possible," said Captain Jason Shivers, fire inspector general. "When a loss of property this great is involved and multiple insurance carriers have an interest in the outcome of the investigation, the determination of a cause and origin can often times be quite lengthy and labor intensive."
