A Critical Vote on Tuesday

Dear Forsyth County Citizens:

The election on Tuesday is critical for the future of Forsyth County. Will the citizens gain control of their government or will the big money from outside win the day again? Choose your candidates carefully and be sure to vote! Take a friend with you, too.

As I visited with residents of our county, it became clear that out-of-control growth, with the resulting traffic jams, and concerns over our water supply are the top issues on the minds of voters.

Here is how I have addressed these issues:

SLOW THE GROWTH

Including: Cease high density zoning deviations;

Moratorium on residential zonings while we review the Unified Development Code.

MORE ROAD CAPACITY

Including: Impact fees for roads;

More SPLOST dollars for roads;

Aggressively seek State funding;

Aggressively seek Federal funding.

COUNTY CONTROL OF WATER SUPPLY

Including: Process all of our water;

Build a deep-water intake in Lake Lanier.

I sincerely believe that my two opponents would be much less aggressive in solving these problems based on what they have said and what they have failed to say. Their positions clearly favor the developers and the City at the expense of the general population. I hope you will trust me with your vote on Tuesday.

On a personal note, I would like to openly thank the many, many volunteers across this county who sacrificed their time to help get our message out. This campaign would have gone nowhere without you.
