Beloved Pink Pig is Back for Holiday Season

Published Oct 19, 2007

From its 1953 debut as a children’s ride at the downtown Atlanta Rich’s, to its brief stint at the Egleston Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees, four generations of Atlantans have ridden the Pink Pig into the holiday season.

Beginning November 3, 2007 and running through January 1, 2008, Priscilla the Pink Pig, returns to carry on an Atlanta family tradition beneath a 170-foot, 1950s-themed Pink Pig Tent at the Macy’s Lenox Square upper-level parking deck.

The original ride was a monorail that would circle the toy department in the downtown store and later the Great Tree on the roof. The current generation Priscilla travels along train tracks, carrying children (of all ages!) through a life-sized storybook.

The cost is $3 per ride for children of all ages (Single Ride) or guests can "pig out and ride again." Repeat rides cost less.  Here is the pricing:

2 rides = $5.50, 3 rides = $7.50, repeat ride tickets are per person – non-transferable.
