Last week at Forsyth Central High School, two students alledgely were caught drinking alcohol and having sex in the restroom on campus. According to a concerned Central parent, there are a lot of rumors being passed around about the incident by students and she shares that this is not the first time that Central has had problems with student behavior. Last fall, several students were alledgely caught with drugs. In addition, after Hurricane Katrina, new students who had relocated to our county enrolled at Central. They were subject to daily racial slurs and had to disenroll, as their parents did not feel that Central was a safe place to educate their children. Parents are seeing these various behaviors as a gross lack of supervision at the school and that the high school has many issues -- most that have not been covered in the news. According to the parent presenting this most recent incident, these serious issues must come to light so that parents can be more involved to insure that Forsyth County is doing its level best to provide a safe educational environment for our children.
