Associate School Superintendent, Jane Fuqua, and Principal, Kenny Fox, Announce Retirements

The Forsyth County Board of Education accepted two retirements at its November 17, 2005 Board meeting:

The Forsyth County Board of Education accepted Mr. Kenny Foxx's retirement, effective June 30, 2006. Mr. Foxx, Principal at Forsyth Central High School since 1989, came to Forsyth from Soperton, Georgia where he was principal of Treutlen County High School. Mr. Foxx began his career as a history teacher in Kentucky and also served as a teacher in Florida, and a coach, athletic director, and assistant principal in Dublin, Georgia.

Ms. Jane Fuqua, Associate Superintendent of Educational Leadership, will also be leaving her position at the end of the school year. Ms. Fuqua began her career as a teacher with Cobb County Schools. She also taught eight years in Oak Ridge, Tennessee before returning to Cobb County in 1983 where she held the positions of Assistant Principal and Principal. She came to Forsyth County in 1996 as Principal of North Forsyth Middle School. She was appointed to her current position in 2001.
