Cumming’s Sharon Springs Park will shine brightly on July 29, as Southern Outdoor Cinema brings the stars of the movie Dreamer to its inflatable screen for Forsyth County’s second free "Movies in the Park" event this summer.

Earlier this month, Southern Outdoor Cinema lit up Cumming’s Central Park with its first "Movies in the Park" screening of the film Madagascar. Now, families and neighbors can watch Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning nurse a badly-injured race horse back to health as they repair their own father-daughter relationship.

Pre-movie activities will begin at 6 p.m. Rides on inflatable moonwalks and slides will be open for a small fee, and Abrakadoodle will be providing free arts and crafts activities for children. Free face painting and caricatures will be provided by Sandy's Deck Parties. Hardknock Baseball will feature their "What's your speed?" baseball for a small fee. Entertainment for all ages will be provide by NoJoe the Clown.

Dreamer will begin at dusk. Concessions, including Ben & Jerry's, Buckhead Coffee Company and other goodies from other food vendors, will be available at the park, or moviegoers can bring a picnic to enjoy in their own chairs or on blankets. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages are allowed.

"We had a tremendous crowd at our last free movie in Cumming," says Paul Murray, owner of Southern Outdoor Cinema and "Movies in the Park" organizer. "As a Forsyth County resident myself, I was proud to see our friends and neighbors really get out and support their community. I hope to see you all at Sharon Springs Park on July 29 for another night of films and fun."

This showing of Dreamer is free to the public, thanks to the following local sponsors:

Southern Outdoor Cinema, Country Boy Trailers, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Taylor Construction, Abrakadoodle, Sandy's Deck Parties and Hardknock Baseball.
