The Bellamy Brothers, Tanya Tucker, Ronnie Milsap and George Jones are just a few of the acts who will be belting out country favorites at Lanierland's Concerts in the Country this season...
What’s a family to do this summer? Some of the best country entertainment is just steps away. For 36 years, Lanierland Music Park Concerts in the Country, has been hosting some of the nation’s top favorite country acts including George Jones, Loretta Lynn and The Judds.
Lanierland opened in 1970 to two sold-out shows featuring Hank Williams, Jr. Over 3600 people enjoyed the concert in a circus tent. The Jones and Bagwell family-owned venue, having expanded several times, now offers seating for over 4300 and is considered unique because of the “intimacy created between the star and the audience.”
Saturday, June 3, Lanierland hosts Jeff Bates and The Bellamy Brothers. Other upcoming summer and fall events include Don Williams’ farewell show and Gene Watson on Saturday, June 24. Tickets are selling quickly for this one. “Stars of the Grand Ole Opry,” Bill Anderson and Connie Smith, appear on Saturday, July 29. Tanya Tucker and Exile Saturday, August 26; Ronnie Milsap and James Gregory Saturday, September 16.
On September 23, Lanierland welcomes Atlanta’s Banks and Shane and Forsyth County’s own The Estes Brothers. The final show of the season is George Jones and Confederate Railroad on Saturday, October 25.
Tickets are only $25.00 for all shows except for The Estes Brothers, specially priced at $15.00. Tickets may be charged by phone.
People of all ages are welcome at the alcohol-free venue. Visitors can expect to sample concessions provided by the local church, an ice cream stand and homemade funnel cakes.
