The first Fall Festival in beautiful Dahlonega, Georgia, is slated for Saturday and Sunday, September 16-17, just in time to welcome the fall and hopefully some cooler weather. All are invited to this fun-filled event that starts at 10am and doesn't shut down till 5pm each day.

Lots of music, featuring the ‘Sounds of Sawnee,’ is on the agenda, along with additional live musical entertainment. The Festival's setting is Hancock Park, where you will be taken back to Civil War times with re-enactments, demonstrations and fun.

A Pie & Cake Baking Contest and Scarecrow Decorating Contest add to the fun, and an auction will be held, with the proceeds benefiting Dahlonega's local Helping Family Organizations. And there's more. Lots of Crafts Art can be purchased and plenty of great food will be available.

For more information or to find out how you can be a vendor at the Festival, please contact Suzanne Monroe, Festival Chair, at (706) 867-7372.

Look for more updates to come, and make plans to head on up to Dahlonega in September!
