Members of the Scientific Games Civic Team presented a check to local Fraternal Order of Police President, Matt Starr, with a check in the amount of $1,000 for this year’s “Shop with a Cop” program.

Starr, who is a Corporal with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, has been President of the Lanier Lodge chapter for three years.

“Shop With A Cop” is a long-standing program in Forsyth County. Funded entirely by fund-raising efforts and private donations, the program provides Christmas to deserving children by taking them shopping at the Cumming Wal*Mart. Each child receives approximately $100 with which to shop.

“Shop With A Cop” has been providing Christmas for deserving children in Forsyth County for more than a dozen years.
