Sawnee Mountain Preserve Offers Abundance of Spring and Summertime Programs

The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce a number of exciting, upcoming events at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve.
Eco-Explorers: Mommy and me nature classes for preschoolers ages 3-5. Activities include exploring, stories, games and crafts. Fee: $7.00 per class (adults accompanying children are free)
April 20: Wildflowers 10:30 a.m.-noon Class #262309-C
May 11: Animal Evidence 10:30 a.m.-noon Class #262309-D
May 18: Tremendous Trees 10:30 a.m.-noon Class #262309-E
May 25: Insect Investigations 10:30 a.m.-noon Class #262309-F
Explorer Camp: Environmental Education Camp at Sawnee Mountain Preserve. Campers ages 8-11 will participate in hands-on activities to explore different aspects of the natural world. Summer camp activities will include hiking, tracking, stream studies, insect investigations, geology, crafts and more! Fee: $100.00
