On Saturday, April 15, a.k.a. "tax day," the Forsyth County Master Gardeners will hold their annual Spring Garden Sale, from 8:00 a.m. till noon at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Castleberry Road, near the downtown area.
The Garden Sale is held in conjunction with the annual Cumming Yard Sale, so plant shoppers may pick up other bargains as well. (This is a great use for that tax refund!)
Local Master Gardeners have been growing and nurturing plants specifically for this sale over the past year, so teach one is a labor of love. These high-quality and well-cared-for plants are priced substantially less than at local garden centers, so they are truly a bargain, too.
Funds from the garden sale are used to beautify many public areas in Forsyth County, including the public gardens at the main Cumming Library, the Sharon Forks Library, and local Forsyth County Schools. The money you spend on plants at this sale will help make Forsyth County a more beautiful place in which to live.
An added feature of this year’s Garden Sale is an "Answer Booth," staffed by Master Gardener volunteers. Have your gardening questions answered by experts while selecting top quality plants to beautify your home and garden.
