Forsyth County’s senior citizens are invited to attend a special upcoming event, tailored just for them and highlighting the issues of health and fitness. The Forsyth County Senior Center and the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department are hosting the second annual Seasoned Adult Fitness Event (S.A.F.E.) Day on Tuesday, August 29. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Central Park Recreation Center.

S.A.F.E. Day provides health and fitness activities and information for adults ages 60 and up. The event offers seniors the opportunity to try new fitness activities in an open setting.

"The S.A.F.E Day event is an outstanding opportunity for our seasoned residents to learn more about a variety of important topics and to actually participate in an activity class," said Senior Center Director Shelley Johnson.
