The Laurel Springs Angel Network will once again be cooking their hearts out to thank our special heroes at Fire Station #10 on Old Atlanta Road in honor of the 9/11 anniversary. The Angel Network is a group of dedicated Laurel Spring women who work on various charitable ventures to serve others in the Forsyth community throughout the year.

Super Suppers’ owners, Cindy Loftin and Missy McDaniel have agreed to allow the Angel Network ladies to prepare meals, side dishes and desserts from their state of the art kitchen facility. Loftin and McDaniel will give the ladies easy-to-follow recipes, the right ingredients and cooking instructions to create a variety of delicious meals for the fire station. “We are honored to provide our local firefighters healthy, nutritious dinners. As part of the local community, we hope that everyone will take a moment to appreciate all the hard work the firefighters do for everyone.

The mission of Super Suppers is to bring families back to the dinner table one meal at a time. Since the firefighters cannot be at home with their families, they will be able to sit down together with their “work” family and enjoy a fabulous dinner,” said McDaniel.

“We are very proud of our firefighters and are glad we can take this opportunity to honor what they do by preparing these meals for them”, said Amy McKernan and Anne Metz, co-chairs of the Laurel Springs Outreach Committee.

On Friday, September 8, the ladies will be working in shifts from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. preparing main dishes and desserts that the fire station can freeze and enjoy together.
