The Dinner A’Fare, Inc., the only meal preparation studio headquartered in Atlanta/Forsyth County that opened its first location in early 2005 – and now being franchised across the country – is honored to be featured in the August 2006 issue of Southern Living Magazine, which hits newsstands across the state this week.
The Dinner A’Fare, Inc. franchise is a unique, fresh-food gourmet meal preparation studio kitchen where individuals or groups come, spend two hours assembling meals for themselves or their families, then go home with 12 healthy and delicious entrees that are stored in the freezer until ready to cook and serve. The concept is the brainchild of Forsyth County husband and wife team, Ken and Stephanie Wright, who opened their first location at Discover Mills in Gwinnett County in 2005.
The duo began franchising The Dinner A’Fare in 2005 and now have more than 10 gourmet meal-prep kitchens located across the country, including: Georgia: Discover Mills – Gwinnett; The Avenues – West Cobb; The Avenues- East Cobb; and several locations in San Jose and San Diego, CA. Additional studio kitchens are slated to open in Florida, North Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by the end of 2006.
“When we opened our first The Dinner A’Fare location, our mission was simple… To improve people’s lives by making high-quality, healthful, home-cooked meals that were easy to prepare and yet affordable,” explained Forsyth County resident and The Dinner A’Fare, Inc. co-owner, Stephanie Wright. “Along the way, we’ve found that our customers actually view their time in our studio kitchen as a social event, too. Many of our repeat customers come in with their friends and use the two-hour period as a chance to catch up and enjoy one another’s company,” Wright added.
The much-anticipated feature in the August issue of Southern Living profiles the evolution of The Dinner A’Fare – from a single-store operation to multi-store national franchise – and the entrepreneurial wisdom Wright possessed that guided her in her personal mission of improving lives by making high quality, healthful home-cooked meals affordable and easy to prepare. Readers mighted be amazed to also know that Wright overcame a tragic medical accident that left her paralyzed at age 16, and that her inspirational journey is most likely what provided the perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit to achieve all that she has at the young age of 31, alongside her husband of two years, Ken. The Wrights also own another success business, The Painted Potter, a paint-it-yourself pottery studio, located in Discover Mills in Lawrenceville.
