If you've never had the pleasure of dining at Tam’s Backstage Restaurant, right here in Cumming, Georgia, you've been depriving yourself. Since opening in mid-2005, they have packed the place since day one with customers from all over the county and beyond, thanks to their consistently good food, quality wines, impeccable service and unique ambiance, complete with red brick interior walls and a faux stage curtain adorning a back wall. Besides great business, Tam's has something else to celebrate. The new restaurant has been invited to join an elite group of other high-end Atlanta restaurants (limited to only 13) at the 2006 Atlanta Fine Wine Festival, slated for Saturday, February 25th, 2-6 p.m. at the breathtaking Mason Murer Fine Art gallery in Midtown. More than 300 rare, allocated and limited release fine wines and champagnes from some of the world’s most renowned wineries will be poured at this fine wine and gourmet tasting festival, and Tam’s Backstage will be on-hand serving up gourmet samplings of some of their most popular dishes.

“We are really excited about participating in this top-notch event and feel incredibly honored to be in the same company as some of Atlanta’s finest and most well-known restaurants,” commented Kelly Tam, co-owner of Tam’s Backstage. “And we’re delighted that this event will provide us some fabulous exposure since we are new and kind of off the beaten path. In fact, we hear from our customers that Tam’s is a pleasant surprise once they’re able to find us,” Tam laughed. “We pride ourselves on being able to provide our guests with quality food and a quality wine list…so that they don’t have to leave Cumming,” she continues.

In addition to exquisite wines, gourmet food samplings and incomparable art, the second annual Atlanta Fine Wine Festival will also host a silent charity auction, featuring luxury vacations, one-of-a-kind artwork by acclaimed Atlanta artists Thomas Arvid and Graham Anthony, limited release wines and much, much more. Proceeds will again benefit Visiting Nurse/Hospice Atlanta (VN/HA). Last year's debut event raised more than $20,000 for VN/HA.
