The Rome Area Council for the Arts and The Seven Hills Tellers present Tellabration! 2006, the annual local storytelling event that is part of National Storytelling Week. Tellabration! is a night of storytelling celebrated worldwide on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Tellabration! is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at DeSoto Theatre, 530 Broad St. Admission is free of charge, however donations will be accepted to benefit RACA.

The theme for this year's celebration is "Growing up and Coming of Age Stories." Rome's Tellabration! 2006 will feature personal stories about growing up in the South as told by Jane Cunningham, Bob Harris and Mary Elena Kirk, with Debby Brown as emcee. An evening of storytelling for grown ups; these stories are recommended for listeners 12 years and older.
