While celebrations can be a time of love and togetherness, the holidays can also be a painful reminder of loved ones who can no longer gather with family and friends. To help those who are grieving cope with loss during this season, Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd is offering “Getting through the Holidays,” a seminar for friends and family members who may find the Thanksgiving and Christmas season difficult to deal with.
Marsha Atkins, Bereavement Coordinator for Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd, will facilitate the seminar. Speakers will present suggestions on coping with loneliness, stress and grief during the holidays. The seminar is open to the public and will be held on November 15 at St. Mary’s Parish Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
