Berry College to Host Exhibition of One of It's Own-Body

The Berry College Moon Gallery will host an exhibition of paintings and drawings by alumnus, Chris Hodges through November 17, 2006. Hodges is a resident of Rome, Georgia and teaches at Rome High School. He also has private students, does commissioned works, and serves as art teacher/therapist at Murphy-Harpst Children's Center in Cedartown, Georgia. During the last 2o years, he has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions of drawings and paintings. His work is housed in collections across the U.S. and Eupope. Drawing is at the heart of Hodges art and has played a fundamental role in his development as an artist. His paintings are largely human form and human behavior. He holds degrees from Berry College, Bank State College of Education, and Parsons School of Art and Design. He has a doctorate in fine art from Bellford University. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call 706-236-2219.
